These sessions are about real life - not perfection.
A little prep helps your home photograph beautifully, without the stress of deep cleaning or styling.
• Pick up clutter from main living areas
• Make beds and clear countertops if possible
• Open all curtains and blinds to let in natural light
• Turn off overhead lights before your session
That’s it. Your home does not need to be Pinterest-worthy, it already tells your story.portraits that you will treasure for a lifetime.
• No coordinating outfits required (but try not to clash)
• Choose clothes you’re comfortable in
• Avoid bright or neon colors
• Bare feet are always welcome
• No professional hair or makeup needed
• Show up as you are — natural is perfect here
Think about everyday moments you already love:
• Making breakfast or snacks
• Wasing dishes in the kitchen sink
• Playing with dolls, trains, or play-doh
• Building a fort (inside or outside)
• Swinging, trampoline time, or backyard play
• Playing an instrument (piano, guitar, drums etc.)
• Bath time with your littles
You don’t need a full plan — just a few natural moments.
What if my kids don’t cooperate?
That’s expected. Real life is welcome here.
What if my house is small or not “photo-ready”?
If you live there and love there, it’s perfect.
Do we need to look at the camera?
Nope. I’ll guide you gently, but mostly I’ll let things unfold.
What if things feel chaotic?
That usually means we’re doing it right. But don't worry, we will take breaks if needed.
