Baby and Children's Portrait Sessions

Honestly, this is one of the most common concerns parents have—and one of the things parents worry about the most.

The good news is that children don't need to sit perfectly still or smile on command to create beautiful portraits. Some children warm up quickly, while others take a little more time, and that's perfectly okay.

As a mom who raised three boys, very little surprises me anymore. They've trained me well, if you know what I mean.. I've learned that the best portraits happen when children are allowed to be themselves.

My approach is patient, relaxed, and designed around your child—not the other way around. Whether your little one is shy, spirited, or somewhere in between, we'll work at their pace and create portraits you'll love.

After booking, you'll receive a detailed wardrobe guide filled with tips and suggestions to help your family coordinate without looking overly matched.

For babies and young children, I also offer a curated client closet featuring timeless Feltman Brothers clothing in sizes 3 months through 3 years. Many families choose to borrow pieces from the studio wardrobe, making the planning process even easier.

The goal is simple, classic clothing that keeps the focus where it belongs, on your child.

I recommend booking your session about three months in advance, especially if you're hoping for a specific season or date. Because I intentionally take a limited number of sessions each month, I'm able to give every family the time, attention, and experience they deserve.

That said, life doesn't always happen three months in advance. If you've waited until the last minute, don't hesitate to reach out. I can occasionally accommodate last-minute sessions when my schedule allows.

My studio is located just outside Decatur, Mississippi, serving families throughout Meridian, Philadelphia, Newton, Brandon, Jackson, Hattiesburg, Starkville, and Central Mississippi.

Once your session is reserved, I'll send detailed directions before your appointment.

To keep the experience simple, I personally curate your gallery and select the strongest portraits from your session.

Instead of asking you to compare dozens of nearly identical images, you'll receive a beautifully edited collection that's ready to download, print, and enjoy.
