Why Children's Portrait Photography

I never planned on becoming a photographer. I went to college to become an accountant.

After graduating, I got married, started my first job, and welcomed our first baby boy. Then life took an unexpected turn—I was laid off. What felt like a setback at the time became one of the greatest blessings of my life because it gave me the opportunity to stay home with my boys.

A few years later, my husband gave me my first DSLR camera. I quickly fell in love with photography, spending countless hours learning everything I could. In 2010, I started Hope Davis Photography, photographing families simply because I loved it.

As my business grew, so did my passion. But after unexpectedly losing my dad in 2014, I stepped away from photography for a season. That time reminded me how precious photographs become. They aren't just pictures—they're reminders of the people and moments we never want to forget.

When I returned, I knew I wanted my business to look different. I wanted to slow down, focus on what mattered most, and create timeless portraits that families would treasure for generations.

Today, I specialize in photographing babies and children because childhood is constantly changing. One day they're taking their first steps, and before you know it they're missing front teeth, telling jokes, and becoming young adults. Every stage deserves to be remembered.

My goal is simple: to create beautiful, timeless portraits that become part of your family's story. The kind of images that make you smile years from now and instantly take you back to exactly who your child was in that moment.
